The Chronicles of Hollow Earth: The Next Race PDF Print E-mail
Written by CapricornOne

What happens when mankind creates a genetically enhanced race of humans, to use and abuse any way they please? Well, those slaves might just turn on their masters, and take over the planet, in the new science fiction drama,  The Chronicles of Hollow Earth: The Next Race.

A 300 year old war, between man and his "generic" offspring,  has devistated the surface, and now the Ghen rule the planet from below.

The Chronicles of Hollow Earth: The Next Race is a visionary scifi prequel from indie filmmaker, Stewart St. John, and StewdioMedia Entertainment, setting the groundwork for a unique trilogy, The Creation Wars saga. Man creates Ghen ... Ghen rules Man ... then, the real fun begins, as enslaved mankind begins to band together, and free itself from it's new Masters.

Gemini Division PDF Print E-mail

Five minutes into the future ...

This is the setting for the new science fiction web series, Gemini Division, starring Rosario Dawson, Justin Hartley and a slew of faces you will immediately recognize (if not by name), beginning online-only Monday, August 18th, 2008.

Huh? What is a "web series?" That was my first question, as I was oblivious to this emerging media concept up until about a week ago. I had been researching a film on SciFi Channel website, and an ad caught my eye ... Rosario Dawson in a new scifi series (she is sooo freakin' cool ... and a hottie to boot)??? Cool, I gotta check that out, cause it sure isn't on my list of new tv series!!

Premiering tonight on BBC America is the latest cult hit from across the pond, Primeval. Now, I know it looks like I am cheating a bit here, by posting this show across all three websites. But, this is one of those rare instances where it's appropriate:

  1. It deals with a rip in time and space, so that makes it science fiction.
  2. Dinosaurs coming pouring out of it, which falls under the fantasy genre.
  3. A nasty, gnarling creature that caused this nightmare is all horror to me!

7 Days PDF Print E-mail

A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon what I thought was a new scifi series on the manly-man channel, SPIKE. It turns out to be a rather older scifi series called, 7 Days, that ran from 1998-2001 on UPN (now known as the CW). Which makes sense to be me now, as to why I never heard of the series, much less watched. At that time, I was knee deep with a successful online store (don't ask), and pretty darn busy. But more than that, my DirecTV service, at the time, did not have a UPN station for us.

The Andromeda Strain - Miniseries PDF Print E-mail

Premiering tonight on the A&E Network, is another crack at best-selling author Michael Crichton's sci-fi thriller, The Andromeda Strain. The 1969 novel was Michael Crichton's first best-seller, and inspired the classic film just two years later. If you have never read the novel (I don't remember, if I ever did ... it's not part of my library ... shame, shame on me), or seen the 1971 film (directed by Robert Wise, and starring Arthur Hill as Stone ... one of my fav sci-fi films), this new generation mini-series will be a great way to introduce you to one of the classic sci-fi thrillers, of all time.
