Life on Mars on ABC PDF Print E-mail

... well, not really, but for NYPD Detective Sam Tyler, he might as well be living on another planet! Life on Mars on ABC network is an American adaptation of the hit British television series in 2006. I watched the entire two seasons on BBC America, and absolutely loved it. So, when I heard this was going to be re-told American-style for the new fall line-up, I was pretty jazzed. And, after watching the premiere online last night, Life on Mars didn't disappoint.

The story revolves around Detective Sam Tyler trying to nail a serial killer in New York City. His partner and lover, Maya Daniels, finally catch the man they have been after for so long, but finds he has a solid alibi during a murder. Colin Raimes was recorded while gambling at a casino. Raimes is released, but Maya decides to follow him. Back at the station, new evidence is found that Colin Raimes had a twin, Lawrence ... a compulsive gambler, of course! Maya calls Sam to tell him she has her sights on him, but the call is abruptly cut-off. The police scramble to get to Maya, but are too late ... only finding her blood stained shirt. Sam becomes beside himself, fearing the worst ... gets a call on his cell, and leaves his car to get some better reception, and gets slammed by a speeding vehicle ...

some hide. they seek.

Sanctuary for All ... can you tell why I like this title??? It's the episode name for the two hour premiere of SciFi Channel's new series, Sanctuary. Stargate's Amanda Tapping is back with a Victorian English accent as the 157 year old scientist, Dr. Helen Magnus. Helen runs a secret laboratory, she inherited from her father ... a brilliant scientist who taught her everything she knows, including the strange mysteries and creatures that inhabit our world. Like BBC America's scifi series, Torchwood, it's her job to study, protect and if necessary, capture and imprison these creatures. The "abnormals" are creatures of myth and legend, yet apparently are real and living among us mere humans. But, their origins may hold the key to our own existence ... and possibly, the future of humanity, itself.

Forums are back up, and All 4 SciFi is officially launched!

Thanks to all my faithful pals for helping me test things out around here Laughing you know who you are!

I am currently rounding out things for the rest of the site, and will (I promise) get caught up with this ever-growing pile of articles to add here. I am also launching All 4 Fantasy and All 4 Horror, and getting forums set up there, as well as tidying the couple of dusty areas. Chat is now available to registered members on all three websites (yes, you must register on each one).

One of the many reasons for the delay of this launch, is helping our resident pal GOONKA get her new fan site built for actor, Daz Crawford ... check it out: http://www.dazcrawfordonline.com

Inspired by television shows like X Files, and the amazing author Michael Crichton, comes the next J. J. Abrams masterpiece, Fringe, premiering tonight (September 9th, 2008) with limited commercial interruption on FOX. If you're a fan of LOST, impatiently waiting for the show to return ... get your freaky on, and check out this new scifi series!

The story begins with Flight 627 mysteriously landing in Boston, with no one alive aboard. FBI Agents (and secret lovers), Olivia Dunham and John Scott are sent in to investigate. When Agent Scott is nearly killed during the investigation, Agent Dunham scrambles to find help to save his life. But alas, there is only one man that may solve such a bizarre mystery, except he has been mental hospital for the last 17 years. The only way to get through to Dr. Walter Bishop's superior intellect, is to re-unite him with his estranged son, Peter.
