Crop circles ... naughty hoaxes? Signs from above?? Or maybe, they are Silent Warnings. This copycat of last year's Mel Gibson film, Signs, tells an even darker tale of life on the farm gone terribly wrong. It all starts on a small farm in Oregon, where paranoid survivalist claims to be at war with evil aliens marking up his territory. Stephen Baldwin (New Eden, Dean R. Koontz's Mr. Murder, X Change) stars as farm owner Joe Vossimer, whose mad ravings are ignored by the locals. Even his friend and neighborhood Sheriff Bill Willingham, played by Billy Zane (Back to the Future's I and II, Critters, the infamous Twin Peaks series, Tales from the Crypt's Demon Knight, comic book hero The Phantom, Dean R Koontz's Sole Survivor, Invincible, and later this year, Vlad), had his doubts about the alien claims. But all that will soon change as cousin Layne Vossimer, played by A.J. Buckley (Disturbing Behavior, The Forsaken and Wishcraft), inherits the property and invites his college pals to help him sell it off:
As the young folk begin to fix up the property, they run across the strange video journals and security systems left by cousin Joe. All of this building to one very long night of terror as the truth behind these infamous Crop Circles is revealed. SciFi Channel Original Silent Warnings premieres Saturday, May 3rd, 2003 at 9pm http://www.scifi.com/silentwarnings/ And watch the channel this week for a two hour documentary on the possible phenomenon, probable hoax competition called, Crop Circles.
